The Grief Burst Companion

When Grief Arrives Without Warning, You Don’t Have to Face It Empty-Handed.

The Grief Burst Companion is a free 10-page workbook to help you meet the sudden waves of grief with gentleness, grounding tools, and a plan that’s truly your own.

Delivered instantly to your inbox. No spam, ever - just gentle support

You’re driving home from the grocery store when a song comes on the radio.

You’re standing at your kitchen sink and catch a glimpse of their handwriting on an old note.

You’re getting through a meeting, a family dinner, a Tuesday afternoon - and suddenly, the wave arrives.

Grief bursts don’t check your calendar. They rise up in the middle of ordinary moments, and they can leave you feeling ambushed, exhausted, and completely alone.

If that sounds familiar, please hear this:

You are not doing this wrong. You are not going backwards. You are grieving someone you loved deeply - and you deserve real, gentle tools to help you carry it.

What’s Inside The Grief Burst Companion

A Letter to You - An honest welcome - because before we do anything else, you deserve to be met with kindness

The Shape of a Wave - Understand what a grief burst actually is, and why remembering “this will move” changes everything.

Your Grief Burst Map - A gentle tracker to help you notice your patterns without judgement - the first step to feeling less ambushed.

A Letter From the Kindest Voice - A guided writing exercise to soften the harsh inner voice so many grievers carry.

Ten pages of gentle guidance, fillable prompts, and practices you can return to again and again.

Your Grief First-Aid Kit - Choose five tools now and keep them on your phone. When the wave hits, you won’t have to search.

The Compassionate Hand - A 60-second practice you can do anywhere to help your body feel safe again in the middle of a wave.

Scheduled Grief Time - The paradoxical practice that helps grief stop demanding space at the worst moments.

Your One-Page Plan - Everything from the workbook, brought together into a plan that’s truly yours.

This is for you if:

  • You’ve lost someone you love and grief keeps arriving in waves.

  • You feel ambushed by grief in public, at work, or in ordinary moments.

  • You’re tired of being told to “stay strong” or “move on.”

  • You want gentle, practical tools - not clinical jargon.

  • You’re ready to be a little kinder to yourself.

This might not be the right fit if:

  • You’re in crisis right now and need immediate professional support. (If so, please reach out to a therapist, your doctor, or a crisis line before working through a self-guided resource).

  • You’re looking for a fast fix. Grief is not a problem to solve - it’s a love to carry.

A Note From Your Guide

Hi, I’m Molly.

I’m a certified grief and bereavement coach and the founder of Zola Grief and Bereavement Coaching, based in Boise, Idaho and working with clients around the country through one-on-one sessions, grief support group facilitation, and psychoeducational talks helping folks understand grief.

I know grief isn’t tidy. I know it doesn’t follow a timeline. And I know how it feels to want gentle, real support that meets you exactly where you are - not where the world thinks you should be.

I created the The Grief Burst Companion because I wanted every grieving person to have something small and steady in their hands - a resource they could reach for in the middle of a wave, or on the quiet evenings when the ache feels loudest.

I hope it meets you the way I meant it to.

With Care,

Molly

Frequently Asked Questions

A few Gentle Questions

You are not walking this alone.

Grief is one of the oldest, most human experiences there is. People across every culture and every century have grieved someone they loved. You belong to that great, aching, tender family.

If the Grief Burst Companion can be one small, steady thing you reach for on the hard days - then it has done exactly what I hoped it would.

Your love was big.

Your grief will be, too.

And you are allowed to be gentle with yourself as you carry both.
