Grief education for the people who care for others

Grief shows up everywhere…in memory care and hospice, in workplaces after a loss, in caregiver support groups, in faith communities, in libraries and living rooms. Most of us were never taught how to talk about it, sit with it, or support someone in it.

I offer talks and workshops that give people a warmer, more accurate language for grief - grounded in current research, delivered in a way that feels human, honest, and doable. No jargon. No fixing. Just the kind of steady conversation grief deserves.

How it can be delivered:

  • Short keynote (20-30 minutes) - A warm, focused talk for a meeting, event, or gathering.

  • Signature talk (60 minutes) - A full conversation with Q&A, ideal for community programs and staff learning hours.

  • Half-day workshop (2-3 hours) - A deeper, interactive session with reflection prompts and take-home resources.

  • Custom multi-session series - For teams, cohorts, or communities who want a fuller arc of learning together.

Available in person throughout the Treasure Valley or via Zoom anywhere in the U.S. Fees vary by format and audience - inquire for a quote.

A Few of the topics people ask about most:

  • Grief-informed Care: Supporting Families Without Trying to Fix Them

  • Anticipatory Grief in Senior Living

  • Separating Pain from Suffering: T he Grief Myths That Keep Us Stuck

  • Continuing Bonds: Carrying Love Forward Without “Moving On”

  • The 2 a.m. Grief Hour

(Full topic list, formates and logistics can be found on the speaker page)

Especially built for:

  • Senior living and memory care communties

  • Hospice, palliative, and end-of-life care teams

  • HR and People teams supporting employees through loss

  • Caregiver groups, faith communities, and libraries

Founding-audience note:

Zola Grief and Bereavement Coaching is a new practice, built on old care. I’m currently offering a small number of founding-audience talks to organizations in the Treasure Valley - at reduced or complimentary rates - in exchange for a short testimonial as I grow this part of my work. If your community would benefit from a warm grief conversation, this may be a good moment to reach out.
