Steady Ground One-one-one grief coaching Boise, Idaho and online
You don’t have to carry this alone.
Private, 90-minute coaching sessions with Molly Zola. No timeline. No “should.” Just one steady place to bring everything you’re holding.
Free. 20 minutes. No pressure, no obligation - just a conversation.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
You’ve become very good at saying, “I’m doing okay” when you’re not.
Everyone else moved on around week three, and you’re still here.
You’re grieving someone who’s still alive - through illness, dementia, or distance.
The nights are the hardest part, and no one tells you what to do at 2a.m.
You’re afraid that feeling better means leaving them behind.
You’ve thought about therapy, or you’re already in it, and you still want something practical for the day-to-day of this.
None of that means you’re grieving wrong. Grief doesn’t come with instructions, and it doesn’t run on anyone else’s schedule.
Hi, I’m Molly.
I'm a grief and bereavement coach here in Boise, and I do this work because I've needed it.
My grandmother, Faye, was one of the great loves of my life. After she died, I kept writing to her — long, ordinary letters about my day, the way we used to talk. Nobody told me that was allowed. It turns out there's a whole body of work behind it, called Continuing Bonds, and it changed how I understand grief entirely: you don't have to let someone go to keep living. You get to carry them.
That's the heart of how I coach. I'm trained in grief theory and trauma-informed practice, I'm a Certified Practitioner of EME Integration and a Certified Gottman Seven Principles workshop leader. But the credentials aren't the point. The point is that I will sit with you in the hard part without flinching, and without any hurry for you to be finished.
What 1:1 coaching looks like
We meet for 90 minutes, long enough to actually get somewhere, without you having to rush the hard part into a 50-minute window. The normal 60 minute sessions are not always enough.
Some of that time is you talking and me listening, really listening, without trying to move you along. Some of it is us doing the practical work: figuring out what’s making this week harder than last week, building something you can hold onto, deciding what you actually want your life to look like from here.
You set the pace. If a session needs to be all tears, that the session. If you want to spend planning how to get through your mother’s birthday next month, we’ll do that instead.
The tools we might us:
Grounding and regulation for the moments grief hits sideways - in the grocery story, in the car, at work.
Ritual and continuing bonds - ways to stay connected to your person that don’t require pretending they’re not gone.
Guided journaling and reflection you can do between sessions, if writing helps you.
Language and boundaries for the people who say the wrong things, and the ones who say nothing at all.
Practical planning for anniversaries, holidays, first birthdays, and the dates you’re already dreading.
A forward look, when you’re ready - who you are now, and what you want to build.
What’s included
90-minute private sessions with me, by video or phone - you’re choice
A plan built around your loss, not a worksheet everyone gets
Between-session email support for the weeks that get heavy
Personalized resources - workbooks, prompts, playlists, and readings chosen for where you are
Full access to my resource library, including the Continuing Bonds journal and the anticipatory grief workbook
A warm handoff, if you need one. If what you need is a therapist, a support group, or a specific kind of care, I’ll help you find it. Getting you the right support matters more than keeping you as a client.
Investment
Single session - $100
Goode if you want to try this first, or if you’re working through one specific thing - an upcoming anniversary, a hard conversation, a decision you’re stuck on.
Six-session package - $525 (save $87.50)
Most people choose this one. Six sessions gives us room to do real work: settle in, build hour tools, and get you through a full stretch of weeks with steady support. Sessions are typically every other week, but we’ll set the rhythm together.
Payment plans available. I also hold a limited number of sliding-scale spots - if cost is the reason you’d say no, please just ask me on the consult call.
What happens when you book a consultation
Booking a consult isn't committing to anything. Here's exactly what it is:
You pick a time that works for you — it takes about a minute.
We talk for 20 minutes. You tell me as much or as little as you want about your loss. I mostly listen.
I tell you honestly whether I think coaching would help, and what working together would look like.
You decide later. No pitch, no pressure, no follow-up sequence. If it's a yes, we'll book your first session. If it's not, you'll leave with a couple of resources that might help anyway.
Questions people ask
How soon after a loss should I start?
There's no right answer. Some people come to me two weeks after a death, some come two years later, some come before the loss has even happened. Whenever you're reaching out is the right time.
Does it have to be a death?
No. I work with people grieving divorce, estrangement, a diagnosis, a move, the loss of a life they expected to have. Grief is grief.
What if I cry the whole time?
Then you cry the whole time. That's a completely normal use of a session, and it's not something you need to apologize for.
What if I don't cry at all?
Also completely normal. Grief doesn't always look like crying, and not feeling what you expected to feel doesn't mean you loved them any less.
Do you meet in person?
Sessions are by video or phone, which means we can work together wherever you are. If you're local to Boise, ask me on the consult call.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes — I do sessions with couples, siblings, and parent-and-adult-child pairs when a family is grieving the same person differently. Mention it on the consult.
What if I need to stop, or take a break?
You can, at any time. Grief has its own rhythm, and sometimes the right move is to pause. Unused sessions from a package don't expire.
Is this confidential?
Yes. What you tell me stays between us. Please read the confidentiality laws I follow down in the footer.
You don’t have to have the words yet.
You don't need to explain it well. You don't need to be ready. You just need twenty minutes and a willingness to say some of it out loud to someone who won't rush you through it.
